Job Description

Provides insight to the business from primary customer & market research and analysis in the financial global marketplace including customers, prospects, and competitors. Provides analysis, recommendations and reporting that informs and improves the effectiveness of the planning, execution and optimization of marketing, product development, brand and customer satisfaction work. Determines methods and procedures on new assignments.

Primary Objectives

Develops and directs primary qualitative and quantitative research to inform business decisions regarding brand, user experience, product development, innovation, customer experience monitoring and ad hoc research as required.

Able to manage and execute an ongoing Global Customer Experience Monitor program with experience in large scale monitors and satisfaction studies.

Major areas of accountability

Identify strategic information needs with our internal partners and initiate market research projects to address these needs
Effectively manage and coordinate external vendors to ensure the delivery of timely, actionable, market and customer-based information to support informed decision-making within the organization
Recommend appropriate methodologies
Communicate research results to client groups
Formulate implications linking research findings to strategy recommendations
Internal survey creation and analysis where needed both for customers and employees
Manage time and budgets for key projects and client groups
Develop and maintain expert knowledge of market research techniques and practices
Develop and maintain knowledge of Financial markets

Knowledge and skills

Solid market research experience within a corporate or research company setting including:
Needs identification and assessment
Proposal development
Vendor management
Presentation of research findings and recommendations
Experience working with senior management and making executive presentations
Strong business acumen and analytical skills
Solid project management and organization skills
Experience with a survey tool, SPSS or the like

Education

BA/BS preferred
