Job Description

Job Title: Business Development Manager / Strategic Account Manager (Hunting & Farming Role)


Experience: 4 to 10 years


Relevant Experience:


  • Selling Experience: Enterprise Sales, IT Infrastructure Solutions, Core Data Center, Networking, HPC Solutions, etc.
  • Verticals: Education and Research, Government and Defence

Responsibilities:


  • Business Generation: Responsible for generating business in the assigned vertical from existing accounts as well as acquiring new accounts.
  • Opportunity Management: Identify, validate, build, and close business opportunities.
  • Sales Strategy: Contribute significantly to the implementation of sales strategies.
  • Client Relationship: Build awareness, credibility, and establish relationships with key clients.
  • Proposal Management: Prepare detailed proposals/quotes (RFP/RFQ) as per customer requirements and adhere to Locuz standards in preparing such documents.
  • Collaboration: Collaborate internally with various stakeholders and with OEMs for building and closing opportunities.
  • Sales Cycle Management: Manage the complete sales cycle, including billing and timely collection of Accounts Receivable (AR).
  • OEM Relationship: Build and manage relationships with OEMs and map key stakeholders.
  • Target-Oriented: Should be target-oriented, focused on improving skills, expanding the account base, and increasing sales efficiency.
  • Performance Metrics: Achieve set targets in terms of revenue, profitability, and other key result areas (KRAs) for the given period.
  • Market Awareness: Maintain knowledge and awareness of competitors products, pricing, and overall strengths and weaknesses.
  • Sales Funnel Management: Maintain an updated sales funnel and participate in regular sales reviews with the Reporting Manager/Management.
  • CRM and Reporting: Follow organizations reporting guidelines and update the CRM Tool regularly.
  • Data Analysis: Maintain data and information analysis to assist in decision making and compliance with ISO norms.
  • Continuous Learning: Attend regular training sessions on technical (new solutions, services, technologies) and commercial aspects of business development.
  • Certifications & Enhancements: Focus on continuous knowledge enhancements through training and certifications.
  • Adaptability: Handle related responsibilities that may change from time to time based on the role.
