Role Overview:


We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Manager with extensive experience in Full Truck Load (FTL) transport sales. The ideal candidate will be responsible for new business acquisition, client relationship management, and expanding revenue streams from non-bidding-based businesses. The role demands a strong understanding of logistics operations, market trends, and the ability to drive consistent revenue growth.

Key Responsibilities:


1. Business Development & Revenue Growth

  • Identify and acquire new clients in the manufacturing, FMCG, e-commerce, and other sectors requiring FTL services.
  • Develop a sales strategy to maximize revenue from non-bidding-based businesses (contractual or relationship-based accounts).
  • Ensure a monthly billing volume of ₹30 lakh+ while maintaining profitability.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized logistics solutions for potential clients.

2. Client Relationship Management

  • Build and maintain strong long-term relationships with key decision-makers in client organizations.
  • Ensure high customer satisfaction by addressing operational and service-related concerns.
  • Work with the operations team to ensure smooth execution of deliveries and minimize service failures.

3. Market Analysis & Strategy Development

  • Analyze market trends, competitor activity, and customer requirements to identify new growth opportunities.
  • Maintain a strong pipeline of prospective clients and provide regular reports on business development progress.
  • Recommend pricing strategies based on industry standards, demand-supply trends, and competitor benchmarking.

4. Performance & Target Management

  • Meet and exceed monthly sales targets for revenue and truck placements.
  • Track and improve conversion rates from leads to active business.
  • Ensure timely collections and credit control in coordination with the finance team.

Key Requirements:


  • 5+ years of experience in FTL transport sales with a proven track record in new business acquisition.
  • Must have handled ₹30 lakh+ monthly billing in FTL, specifically from non-bidding businesses.
  • Strong networking and negotiation skills to convert potential clients into long-term business partners.
  • Sound knowledge of transportation pricing, contracts, and service level agreements (SLAs).
  • Experience in handling large fleet operations, route planning, and load optimization.
  • Ability to work in a target-driven environment with high performance expectations.

Qualifications


  • Bachelor's/Masters degree in Business, Supply Chain, Logistics, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in CRM tools, MS Excel, and data analytics for sales tracking and reporting.
