Project Manager - Web Development (Kolkata)

Role & responsibilities

• Lead and oversee the full project lifecycle, ensuring successful delivery within scope, budget, and schedule.
• Ensuring effective communication and understanding of project requirements.
• Manage end-to-end execution of multiple projects, overseeing scheduling, costs, quality, and adherence to requirements.
• Define, drive, and communicate the scope of work, project objectives, plans, key milestones, acceptance and success criteria, progress reports, challenges, and project closure reports for customer presentations and ensure visibility for all stakeholders.
• Facilitate the on boarding process for new projects, ensuring a smooth transition and understanding of the project.
• Provide strategic direction and hands-on leadership, leveraging technical expertise to guide project teams.
• Uphold internal Project/Delivery management policies, inspect and adopt best practices, standards, and templates. Implement standard project management methodologies and practices.
• Contribute to the strategic planning of project initiatives, aligning them with organizational goals.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor s or Master s degree in a relevant field.
• Experience, with a strong background in technical roles and a successful transition to project management.
• Experience managing highly strategic and complex projects, interacting with business and technology individuals at all levels.
• Proven ability to navigate ambiguity and lead teams through complex and dynamic project environments.
• Demonstrated leadership in resource allocation, team management, and mentoring.
• Solid understanding of software development life cycle models.
• A self-starter, independent-thinker, curious, and creative person with ambition and passion.
• Expert knowledge of agile and traditional project management principles and practices, with the ability to combine them appropriately.
• Negotiate alternatives at the senior management level, demonstrating effective decision making and strategic leadership.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in WordPress, Codignitor, Laravel, PHP, MySQL preferred.
• Multi-tasker and adaptive to quick changes.
• Strong problem-solving, decision-making skills, analytical and communication skills.
