Job Description

Overview
The Head of Learning Development is responsible for building and leading the Hub Learning Development Strategies, Delivering Professional Development Programs, along with developing LD Services capability to support business needs across the organization.
The role will also be accountable for a portfolio of Learning Development programs in the India Hub in line with the Corporate Centre Learning and Development Team.

Key Accountabilities and main responsibilities
Strategic Focus
  • Develop and drive the Hub s Learning Strategy, consulting with global Head of OD and HR Directors
  • Support Business Unit Heads in their Learning Needs for their team
  • Develop LD operations Services capability in Hub to support employees across geographies including but not limited to creating Learning content
  • Manage our partnerships with third-party providers supporting our organisational development initiatives
Operational Management
Hub Learning Development Plan:
  • Design and implement learning programs that align with business objectives and enhance employee skills and performance
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of learning programs and make necessary adjustments to improve outcomes
  • Collaborate with various departments to ensure learning initiatives are integrated with overall business strategies
Leadership Professional Development Programs:
  • Contribute to the design of global MUFG Pension Market Services Leadership Development Programs and facilitate these programs for leaders of all levels across all of India
  • Design and Build programs to address Hub Professional Development Needs
  • Leading the efforts for building Business Unit Training modules - e-learning / class room
New-Hire Orientation Program:
  • Ensure Best in-class employee experience for New hires by designing and working with HRBPs on New Hire Orientation Program
  • Leading the efforts for building Business Unit Training modules - e-learning / class room
MUFG Pension Market Services Required Learning Program
  • Work closely with the Learning and Development Manager - Corporate Centre, HR Systems and the Instructional Designer to ensure the effective delivery of Required Learning for MUFG Pension Market Services, including:
  • Design of new content
  • Annual design updates
  • Project manage the roll out of content
  • Managing budgets and vendors
  • Liaising with content owners and SMEs
People Leadership
  • Lead and manage the LD team, providing guidance, support, and development opportunities
  • Equip the HR team and business leaders with tools, skills, advice and support to drive awareness, embedding and alignment on Learning Development Programs
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and development within the organization
Governance Risk
  • Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements
  • Manage the Organisational Development budget to ensure efficient and effective use and to maximise organisational and people development opportunities

Experience Personal Attributes
  • Master s degree in Human Resources, Business, Organisational Psychology, or related field (preferred)
  • Proven experience in a senior Learning Development role, preferably within a global organization
  • Proven track record in building successful Learning Development Strategies from idea to implementation
  • Strong leadership, coaching and people management skills
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, empathy skills and cultural sensitivity
  • Proven internal and external stakeholder engagement, relationship building and influencing skills across all levels
  • Results-oriented with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Vendor management experience, along with managing risks the organization
  • Knowledge of the latest trends and technologies in learning and development
