Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled Salesforce Architect who can lead the design, architecture, and
refactoring of our Salesforce solutions, focusing on resolving technical debt, optimizing best
practices, and streamlining processes. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing
scalable and maintainable solutions, overseeing code quality, approving design from
developers, and ensuring alignment with our overall Salesforce strategy. This role requires
expertise in GP1 packaging, knowledge of managed packages, and experience as an ISV
partner. Additionally, the Salesforce Architect will play a crucial role in automating DevOps
processes and addressing process gaps in design.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Solution Architecture and Design:
○ Develop scalable and robust Salesforce solutions
○ Lead design reviews, validate and approve solutions from engineering
○ Refactor existing designs to resolve technical debt and optimize performance.
○ Evaluate and implement design improvements to enhance code maintainability
and flexibility.
○ Understand the limitations of the tool and provide recommendations and design
choices for scalability and efficiency.
2. Technical Leadership and Best Practices:
○ Establish and enforce Salesforce development best practices, including coding
standards, unit testing, and documentation.
○ Conduct code reviews and offer guidance to developers on coding best practices.
○ Provide mentorship and leadership to junior developers and technical leads,
fostering a culture of continuous improvement.
3. Package Management and ISV Partnership:
○ Manage and deploy GP1 packages and oversee Salesforce managed packages
to ensure adherence to Salesforce ISV (Independent Software Vendor)
standards.
○ Expertise in handling migration from GP1 to GP2.
○ Collaborate with Salesforce ISV partners to ensure alignment with platform
requirements and maximize the value of Salesforce releases.
4. DevOps and Process Automation:
○ Design and implement automated DevOps processes for streamlined CI/CD
○ Identify process gaps in development, deployment, and testing workflows, and
implement solutions to address these inefficiencies.
○ Manage deployment pipelines to maintain efficiency, consistency, and quality
across development environments.
5. Solution Validation and Quality Assurance:
○ Approve technical solutions and designs proposed by developers, ensuring
alignment with architectural standards.
○ Lead root cause analysis for performance or functionality issues, providing
recommendations and solutions to mitigate risk.
○ Ensure that designs are secure, scalable, and adaptable to future needs, in line
with industry best practices and compliance requirements.
6. Stakeholder Collaboration:
○ Collaborate closely with product managers, business analysts, and other
stakeholders to align technical solutions with business requirements.
○ Act as a subject matter expert on Salesforce capabilities, advising on optimal
approaches to achieve desired functionality and outcomes.
Qualifications:
● Education: Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related
field. A Masters degree or relevant certifications is a plus.
● Experience:
○ 12+ years of experience in Salesforce development and architecture, with a
strong focus on solution design, code quality, and best practices.
○ Proven experience in GP1 packaging and managing Salesforce managed
packages as an ISV partner.
○ Solid understanding of Salesforce platform technologies, including Lightning
Components, Apex, Visualforce, and SOQL. ● Skills:
○ Proficiency in DevOps automation tools and CI/CD processes.
○ Strong understanding of data modeling, integration patterns, and API-based
integrations within Salesforce.
○ Ability to manage technical debt effectively, with a proactive approach to
refactoring and improving existing codebases.
○ Experience with tools like Git, Jenkins, or other DevOps and version control
solutions.
○ Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to
convey complex technical concepts to stakeholders.
● Certifications: Salesforce Architect, Platform Developer II, or related Salesforce
certifications are preferred.
