• Mechanical Engineer is responsible to ensure the mechanical maintenance of all machines
and equipments of the silo unit.

• Managing grain receipt, dispatch, silo filling, grain transfer operations and ensure the working
of the machines.

• Prepare the maintenance schedule for all machines and execute the maintenance as per the
planned schedule.

• Attend the breakdown of machines and carry out the breakdown maintenance.

• Management of technicians and labours and supervise the grain intake and outtake
operations.

• Provide necessary training as per requirement of operational team for effective usage and
plant operations.

• Monitoring working conditions of all machines/mechanical devices on daily basis and ensure timely resolution of issue if any.

• Finding ways to prevent problems and to solve any that crops up with minimum risk.

• Selection of tools and other devices required for day-to-day maintenance and ensure adequate and timely availability of spares and consumables.

• Work with Terminal manager and senior Officers to ensure smooth functioning and operations of the silo facility.

• Ensure the maintenance of safety policies and responsible for the implementation of machine guard safety standard.

• Maintain records of Receipt, storage, dispatch of food grains in accordance with the provision of agreement, Applicable Laws and application permits.

• Review and obtain/renew the Applicable permits and Licenses from the relevant Government body as per mandatory requirements.

• Liaison with FCI and other Govt. Offices for statutory documents.

• Coordinate with external vendors/agencies for the periodical calibration pf machines and equipment.

• Maintaining all safety & ISO related documents.

Educational Qualifications:

• BE/B-tech in Mechanical Engineering.

Experience: • 4- 6 years of working experience in machine maintenance.

• Candidates with working experience in Grain Silo operations are preferred.
