Head of Advisory
Role Summary:
- We are looking for the Head of Advisory at our client (confidential) who will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction and growth of the advisory practice.
- This role is instrumental in driving business development and delivering high-quality client engagements that aligns with exceptional service delivery.
- Reporting directly to the India Head, the Head of Advisory will lead and mentor a talented team, ensuring professional development and fostering a culture of excellence and innovation.
Key Responsibilities:
- As the Head of Advisory, you will spearhead initiatives to enhance service offerings and client satisfaction.
- Through strategic leadership, you will ensure the continued growth and success of the advisory practice in line with organizational objectives.
Your core responsibilities will include:
- Leading the day-to-day delivery of client engagement projects, ensuring high-quality outcomes and exceptional service.
- Managing and coordinating engagement teams across divisions, providing real-time feedback and support.
- Developing and executing strategic plans to increase business across verticals, achieving quarterly targets in India.
- Providing expert guidance on financial reporting and transaction services, maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant standards.
- Cultivating and mentoring a high-performing advisory team, actively participating in career and performance development processes.
- Building a cohesive team culture that supports the scaling of our hyper-growth consulting business.
- Managing stakeholder relationships effectively, leveraging expertise in mergers, acquisitions, and transaction services.
- Ensuring accurate forecasting, budgeting, and financial management, achieving year-end financial goals.
Qualifications:
- To excel in this role, you must possess a strong academic and professional background in accounting and advisory services.
The ideal candidate will have:
- A Chartered Accountant (CA), Certified Public Accountant (CPA), or an MBA from a Tier-1 Business School.
- A minimum of 15 years of experience in accounting, advisory, or transaction services with a Top 10 public accounting firm. At least 5 years in people manager role.
- Extensive expertise in project management, including planning, organizing, and coordinating complex projects.
- In-depth knowledge of US GAAP, SEC financial reporting, IFRS, or mergers and acquisitions.
- Proven ability to manage and influence stakeholders effectively.

- You will act as a principal advisor, using your influence and credibility to drive consensus and align interests.
Team Leadership and Development:
- You will inspire and mentor your team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability.
