Job Title: Head of Advisory
Team Size: 100 (growing)
Role Summary:
- As the Head of Advisory, you will be responsible for driving the vision, strategy, and execution of our advisory services.
- You will lead a multidisciplinary team of 100 professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and innovation. Your role will be pivotal in scaling our advisory capabilities, ensuring client satisfaction, and positioning our services as industry leaders.
Position Overview:
- As a Director in the CFO Advisory practice, you will lead teams to deliver high-quality financial advisory services to clients across industries.
- Your expertise in US GAAP standards, including ASC 606 (Revenue Recognition), ASC 848 (Reference Rate Reform), ASC 805 (Business Combinations), and other applicable accounting guidance, will be instrumental in advising clients on complex financial reporting, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
- You will act as a trusted advisor to CFOs and finance executives, helping them navigate accounting challenges, optimize financial processes, and align their financial reporting with regulatory requirements and business goals.
Key Responsibilities:
Client Advisory Services:
- Lead engagements related to US GAAP compliance, including implementation and ongoing support for ASC 606, ASC 848, ASC 805, and other key standards.
- Provide strategic guidance on accounting policy development, financial reporting, and regulatory compliance.
- Assist clients with complex technical accounting issues, including revenue recognition, lease accounting, M&A transactions, and reference rate reform.
- Oversee the preparation of financial statements, footnotes, and disclosures in accordance with US GAAP and SEC requirements.
- Advise on the financial and operational impacts of transactions such as acquisitions, divestitures, restructurings, and capital market activities.
Engagement Management:
- Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation to ensure efficient delivery of client engagements.
- Provide technical leadership to engagement teams, ensuring the accuracy, timeliness, and quality of deliverables.
- Foster client relationships, acting as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders.
Team Leadership & Development:
- Build and mentor a team of highly skilled professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous learning.
- Provide ongoing coaching and training to team members on technical accounting standards, financial advisory best practices, and client relationship management.
- Lead recruitment efforts and participate in the growth of the CFO Advisory practice.
Business Development:
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities by building relationships with current and prospective clients.
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop tailored solutions that address client needs.
- Represent the firm at industry events and conferences to enhance visibility and establish thought leadership.
Experience:
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in accounting advisory, public accounting, or a combination of both.
- Strong technical expertise in US GAAP standards, particularly ASC 606, ASC 848, ASC 805, and other relevant frameworks.
- Experience advising on M&A transactions, IPO readiness, revenue recognition policies, and financial system implementations.
