Software Project Leader - Autosar/Model Based Development (8-10 yrs)

Job Summary :

We are seeking a highly skilled Model-Based Development (MBD) + AUTOSAR Project Leader to drive technical excellence in Application Seat ECU projects. The ideal candidate will lead technical reviews, quality management, and cross-functional teams to ensure compliance with AUTOSAR standards and ISO 26262 (Functional Safety).

Key Responsibilities :

Project & Technical Leadership :

- Lead and manage MBD & AUTOSAR-based ECU software development for seat applications in automotive systems.

- Define project roadmaps, technical deliverables, and milestones in collaboration with cross-functional teams.

- Ensure compliance with ASPICE, ISO 26262, and other automotive standards.

- Drive and oversee software architecture design, modeling, and code generation for automotive ECUs.

Model-Based Development (MBD) :

- Develop, optimize, and validate Simulink/Stateflow models for seat control applications.

- Generate embedded C code using MATLAB/Simulink & TargetLink for production deployment.

- Ensure seamless integration with AUTOSAR architecture and compliance with AUTOSAR MCAL, BSW, and RTE.

AUTOSAR Development & Integration :

- Oversee AUTOSAR software stack integration (BSW, RTE, MCAL) and ensure smooth communication with CAN, LIN, and FlexRay protocols.

- Collaborate with Tier-1 suppliers and OEMs for software validation, testing, and issue resolution.

- Conduct AUTOSAR configuration (Vector DaVinci, EB Tresos, etc.) and ensure seamless ECU software deployment.

Quality & Technical Reviews :

- Conduct design reviews, code reviews, and model validation reviews to ensure robustness.

- Lead failure mode analysis (FMEA) and root cause analysis (RCA) for software defects.

- Work with QA teams to ensure compliance with MISRA, ASPICE, ISO 26262, and cybersecurity standards.

Stakeholder & Team Collaboration :

- Collaborate with hardware, system, and validation teams to ensure end-to-end software integration.

- Manage and mentor a team of MBD & AUTOSAR engineers, driving best practices in automotive software development.

- Communicate with OEMs, Tier-1 suppliers, and customers regarding project status, risks, and deliverables.

Required Skills & Qualifications :

Technical Expertise :

- MBD (Model-Based Development) - Expertise in MATLAB/Simulink, Stateflow, Embedded Coder, TargetLink.

- AUTOSAR (Classic & Adaptive) - Strong understanding of BSW, MCAL, RTE, and software integration.

- ECU Software Development - Experience in application software development for automotive ECUs.

- Communication Protocols - Proficiency in CAN, LIN, FlexRay, UDS, and diagnostic stacks.

- Embedded C & Code Generation - Experience in MISRA compliance, debugging, and integration testing.

- Tools & Standards - Experience with Vector DaVinci, EB Tresos, ISO 26262, ASPICE, and Functional Safety.

Soft Skills :

- Leadership & Team Management - Ability to lead teams and drive project execution.

- Problem-Solving & Debugging - Strong analytical mindset to solve complex software challenges.

- Communication & Stakeholder Management - Experience in working with cross-functional teams and OEMs.

- Experience in Seat Control ECU / Body Control Module (BCM) / Comfort Systems.

- Hands-on experience with Vector CANoe, CANalyzer, CAPL scripting.

- Knowledge of cybersecurity aspects in automotive ECUs.
