Lead Validation Engineer - C++ Programming (6-9 yrs)

Job Description :

We are seeking a highly skilled Validation Engineer Leader to join our team and drive software validation for automotive projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background in validation testing, HIL, and ECU testing, coupled with excellent leadership and project management skills. This role requires expertise in managing customer relationships, handling project risks, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality software validation results.

Key Responsibilities :

- Customer Relationship Management : Act as the primary point of contact for customers in terms of software validation, project updates, and risk management.

- Project Planning and Monitoring : Define and track project plans and progress towards set goals for the software validation project.

- Quotation and Effort Estimation : Build technical responses to Requests for Quotations and estimate software validation testing efforts.

Validation Expertise :

- Execute and manage HIL and ECU testing processes.

- Solve technical challenges related to software validation and testing.

Field Bus Expertise :

- Hands-on experience with CAN, LIN, and UDS protocols.

- Conduct Conformance Tests for LIN and CAN.

Tool Expertise :

- Proficiency in Vector tools (CANoe, CANdela, CANdiva), CAPL scripting, VT Studio, and other validation tools.

Programming and Electronics Knowledge :

- Strong practical knowledge of programming languages like C and C++.

- Familiarity with digital and analog electronics.

Process Knowledge :

- Hands-on experience with ASPICE processes and iterative & incremental life cycles.

- Practical knowledge of software configuration, change management, and quality assurance practices.

Software Development Knowledge :

- Build software requirement specifications, software architecture, and deliverable software.

- Understand modular and object-oriented design, embedded software, and RTOS.

- Work with development environments like emulators and cross-compilers.

Technical Problem Solving :

- Lead efforts to resolve complex technical challenges.

Automotive Background :

- Work with an automotive-focused approach, ensuring compliance with industry standards and practices.

Communication Skills :

- Possess strong verbal and written communication skills to effectively interact with customers, stakeholders, and team members.

Qualifications :

Education :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or a related field.

Experience :

- 6-9 years of experience in software validation and testing within the automotive industry.

Technical Skills :

- Proficiency in tools and protocols like CAN, LIN, UDS, CAPL scripting, and Vector tools.

- Strong understanding of ASPICE processes and iterative life cycles.

- Knowledge of programming languages (C, C++).

- Familiarity with digital/analog electronics and embedded systems.

Leadership Skills :

- Proven experience in managing projects, teams, and customer interactions.

Problem-Solving Skills :

- Ability to solve complex technical problems independently.
