Procurement Executive

Job Description:

The Graduate Engineer Trainee Procurement will assist the procurement team in managing the sourcing, purchasing, and delivery of materials, equipment, and services for real estate and construction projects. This entry-level position provides a learning opportunity for fresh graduates to gain practical experience in procurement processes, vendor management, and supply chain coordination. Working remotely as part of the back-office team supporting US-based projects, the trainee will support the procurement function by contributing to procurement documentation, supplier evaluations, and order management.

Key Responsibilities:

• Procurement Support:
• Assist in sourcing materials, equipment, and services required for construction and real estate development projects.
• Vendor and Supplier Coordination:
• Assist in maintaining relationships with suppliers and contractors, ensuring effective communication and timely delivery of materials.
• Documentation and Record-Keeping:
• Support the preparation and management of procurement documentation, including purchase orders, contracts, and invoices.
• Market Research and Supplier Sourcing:
• Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers, assess material availability, and monitor market prices for construction and real estate materials.
• Procurement Data Management:
• Help maintain procurement data in systems such as Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software or procurement management tools.
• Cost Control and Budget Management:
• Monitor procurement costs and assist in tracking project budgets, ensuring all purchases are within budgetary constraints.
• Quality Control and Compliance:
• Assist in ensuring that all procured materials meet quality standards and project specifications.
• Cross-functional Collaboration:
• Work closely with the project management, engineering, and finance teams to ensure that procurement aligns with project needs and timelines.

Qualifications & Skills:

• Bachelors degree in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical), Construction Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
• Recent graduates (or with up to 1 year of experience) in procurement, engineering, or construction-related disciplines.
