Job Description:

L&T Energy - Hydrocarbon Ltd. is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Quality Manager to join our team in Vadodara. As the Project Quality Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the quality assurance and quality control activities throughout all phases of the project, including Design, Engineering, Procurement, Construction, Inspection/Testing, and Commissioning. You will play a critical role in ensuring adherence to quality standards and providing guidance on technical and quality-related matters to the project teams and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Quality Assurance & Control: Oversee all QA/QC activities for the project, ensuring compliance with client specifications, international codes, and standards across all project phases.
• Project Quality Management: Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan, inspection plans, work procedures, and audit plans. Ensure timely execution and quality validation of the project deliverables.
• Guidance & Leadership: Advise and motivate project teams on quality issues, ensuring adherence to quality processes and best practices in all phases of the project (design, engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning).
• NCR Management: Lead the closure of Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs) and track the implementation of corrective and preventive actions to address quality issues.
• Reporting & Auditing: Provide monthly quality reports to clients, participate in management review meetings, and track key performance indicators (KPIs) related to quality.
• Vendor Evaluation: Evaluate vendors and suppliers to ensure the quality of materials and services aligns with project standards and client requirements.

Key Deliverables:

• Project Quality Plan, Work Procedures, Inspection Plans, and Audit Plans.
• Monthly Quality Reporting to clients.
• Participation in management review meetings and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Closure of NCRs and implementation of corrective/preventive actions.
• Vendor evaluation and management reports.

Education & Qualifications:

• Bachelors Degree (BE/B.Tech) in Mechanical, Metallurgical, Welding, Electrical, or Instrumentation Engineering.
• IRCA Certified QMS Lead Auditor (ISO 9001 or equivalent).

Experience & Skills:

• Minimum 10 years of experience in Quality Management, specifically within the EPC phases of oil and gas projects.
• Proven experience as a Project Quality Manager in mega-sized oil and gas projects, working with both domestic and international clients.
• Strong knowledge of international codes and standards in the oil and gas industry (e.g., ASME, API, ISO).
• Familiarity with quality tools such as Root Cause Analysis, Corrective/Preventive Action processes, and Risk Management techniques.
• Exposure to NDE techniques (ASNT Level II/III certification) is highly desirable.
• Certification in Welding/Inspection (CSWIP/AWS/NACE/BGAS) would be an added advantage.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills with the ability to interact effectively with clients, vendors, and cross-functional teams.

Desired Skills:

• Exposure to exotic, non-ferrous, and non-metallic materials.
• Experience with project management software (e.g., Primavera, MS Project).
• Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
