Role & responsibilities

Position Overview: We are seeking a dynamic Head of Landscape to lead our landscape initiatives across various residential and commercial developments. This role will be responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, and maintenance of all landscape and horticultural elements, ensuring they align with our vision for sustainable and beautiful environments.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and manage the landscape and horticulture team, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture.
• Develop and oversee landscape design concepts, incorporating horticultural practices that promote sustainability and biodiversity.
• Collaborate with architects, urban planners, and project managers to integrate landscape and horticulture into project designs.
• Ensure compliance with environmental regulations, zoning laws, and best practices in horticulture and landscape management.
• Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure successful project delivery.
• Conduct site assessments to inform design strategies and plant selection.
• Create and implement maintenance plans for landscapes and gardens, ensuring long-term health and beauty.
• Present landscape and horticultural plans to stakeholders, including clients and community members, promoting engagement and support.
• Stay current with industry trends, emerging technologies, and sustainable practices.

Qualifications:

• B.Arch or M.Arch
• 20+ years of experience in landscape design and horticulture, particularly in real estate development.
• Proven leadership experience and ability to manage diverse teams.
• Strong portfolio demonstrating successful landscape and horticultural projects.
• Proficiency in design software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite) and horticultural planning tools.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Knowledge of sustainable landscaping practices and native plant usage.
