IT Administrator specializing in the management and support of research instruments within a Contract Development and Manufacturing Organization (CDMO) environment. This role involves ensuring the seamless integration, performance, and compliance of IT systems associated with scientific instrumentation. The ideal candidate will have expertise in managing laboratory IT systems, supporting research workflows, ensuring data integrity and security, and implementing robust backup and antivirus solutions

Instrument IT Support:

Oversee and maintain IT systems associated with research instruments such as HPLCs, GC-MS, NMR, and other laboratory equipment.
Ensure connectivity between instruments, software, and enterprise IT systems (e.g., LIMS, ELN).
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues to minimize downtime.
System Integration and Maintenance:

Manage the integration of laboratory instruments with data acquisition and processing software.
Collaborate with R&D teams to configure and optimize systems to meet research and production needs.
Perform regular updates, patches, and backups of instrument software and related systems.
Backup and Recovery Management:

Design, implement, and maintain reliable backup solutions for all instrument-related IT systems.
Regularly test backup systems to ensure rapid recovery in case of data loss or system failure.
Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans tailored to laboratory environments.

Antivirus and Cybersecurity:

Implement and manage antivirus solutions across all instrument IT systems.
Monitor and respond to potential security threats, ensuring robust protection against malware and cyberattacks.
Collaborate with IT and cybersecurity teams to align laboratory systems with organizational security policies.
Compliance and Data Integrity:

Ensure all systems comply with regulatory requirements such as FDA 21 CFR Part 11, GxP, and ISO standards.
Monitor and maintain data security and integrity protocols across all instrument-related IT systems.
Support audits by providing documentation and ensuring systems are audit-ready at all times.
Vendor and Stakeholder Collaboration:

Liaise with vendors for installation, upgrades, and repairs of IT-related instrument components.
Work closely with IT, QA/QC, and research teams to align systems with organizational goals.
Training and Documentation:

Develop and provide user training on instrument software, IT procedures, backup protocols, and security practices.
Maintain detailed documentation, including system configurations, SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and recovery plans

• 3+ years of experience in managing IT systems within a laboratory or CDMO environment.
• Hands-on experience with scientific instrument software and hardware.

Technical Expertise:

• Proficiency in configuring and maintaining LIMS, ELN, and instrument data acquisition systems.
• Strong understanding of networking, IT infrastructure, backup solutions, and antivirus management.
• Knowledge of GxP, FDA regulations, and other compliance standards.

Soft Skills:

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent communication skills for collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment.

Bachelors degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Biomedical Engineering, or a related field.
