VP/Head - Land Acquisition & Development - Renewable Energy Sector (12-30 yrs)

Our client, a leading renewable energy company, is seeking a VP / Head of Land Acquisition & Development to drive strategic land acquisition for utility-scale renewable projects. This role will lead site selection, negotiations, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder management, ensuring seamless project development.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and execute a land acquisition strategy for renewable energy projects (solar, wind, hybrid, etc.).

- Lead negotiations with landowners, government authorities, and regulatory bodies to secure project sites.

- Ensure compliance with zoning laws, environmental regulations, and permitting requirements.

- Manage and mentor a regional/national land acquisition team to accelerate project timelines.

- Collaborate with legal, finance, and project development teams to optimize land agreements.

- Mitigate land-related risks, oversee due diligence, and drive community and stakeholder engagement.

Key Requirements:

- 12+ years of experience in land acquisition, real estate, or infrastructure development, preferably in renewable energy.

- Strong track record in negotiating land deals, securing permits, and regulatory approvals.

- In-depth knowledge of land laws, government policies, and industry best practices.

- Excellent leadership, stakeholder management, and problem-solving skills.

- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-growth environment with large-scale projects.
