We are a dynamic and growing ecommerce business, specializing in delivering excellent products and services to our customers. We are seeking a Senior Accountant to oversee and manage our financial operations while contributing to the company's strategic objectives. Key Responsibilities:
1. Auditing:
- Conduct regular audits to ensure compliance with internal processes, statutory regulations, and accounting standards.
- Identify discrepancies and implement corrective measures for process improvement.
2. Bookkeeping:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and receipts.
- Ensure proper reconciliation of all financial transactions.
3. GST Returns:
- Prepare and file monthly, quarterly, and annual GST returns in compliance with applicable regulations.
- Stay updated on GST amendments and ensure timely implementation of changes in practices.
4. Managing Accounts Receivables and Payables:
- Oversee accounts receivables by tracking invoices, payment collection, and addressing overdue accounts.
- Manage accounts payables by ensuring timely and accurate disbursement of payments to vendors.
5. Preparing Financial Statements:
- Develop financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Provide detailed analysis and insights to management to facilitate strategic decisions.
6. Tax Returns and Advisory:
- Prepare and file all statutory tax returns, including income tax, GST, and other regulatory filings.
- Offer strategic tax planning and advisory services to minimize liabilities and maximize compliance.
7. Stock Statement Preparation for Banking Purposes:
- Prepare detailed stock statements for banking requirements, loan approvals, and credit assessments.
- Ensure accurate valuation and reconciliation of inventory records.
8. Managing Payments and Receivables:
- Develop and implement efficient systems for payment scheduling and tracking.
- Collaborate with banks, vendors, and clients to manage payment processes effectively.
9. Process Improvement:
- Identify gaps in current financial processes and recommend automation or process upgrades where necessary.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to implement scalable accounting solutions.
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CA, CPA, or equivalent certification preferred).
- Minimum 4+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within the ecommerce or retail sector.
- Strong understanding of GST laws, tax regulations, and accounting principles.
- Proficient in accounting software (e.g., Tally and Odoo) and MS Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proven ability to handle multiple tasks under strict deadlines.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills for effective collaboration with internal and external stakeholders.
- High level of integrity, professionalism, and ethical standards.
