We are looking for an experienced and reliable Housekeeping Supervisor to manage and oversee the daily operations of our housekeeping team of 25 people at our property Obrigado By Craftels situated at South Goa. This position offers an opportunity for an individual with exceptional attention to detail and a passion for maintaining high cleanliness standards. As the Housekeeping Supervisor, you will ensure that guest rooms, public areas, and other facilities are consistently clean and well-maintained, contributing to an excellent guest experience.

Roles and Responsibilities

1. Assign daily cleaning tasks to housekeeping staff and ensure they are completed according to established standards of cleanliness.

2. Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, common areas, and other facilities to ensure cleanliness and order.

3. Maintain an inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring that stock levels are adequate and ordering supplies when necessary.

4. Provide training to new housekeeping staff, ensuring they are well-versed in the organizations cleaning procedures and safety standards.

5. Address guest complaints or issues related to housekeeping services in a professional and efficient manner.

6. Manage housekeeping staff schedules, ensuring that staffing levels are appropriate and addressing any attendance issues.

7. Ensure compliance with safety, health, and sanitation policies, maintaining a clean and safe environment for both guests and staff.

8. Prepare and submit reports on housekeeping activities, room occupancy, and maintenance needs to upper management.

9. Coordinate with the maintenance team to address any issues related to fixtures, furniture, or equipment, and ensure timely repairs or replacements.

10. Continuously review and update housekeeping policies and procedures to ensure alignment with best practices and company standards.

11. Foster a positive and efficient work environment, promoting teamwork and motivating the housekeeping team to maintain high standards of performance.

Qualifications

1. Proven experience of at least 3 years as a Housekeeping Supervisor or in a similar role, preferably in the hospitality industry.

2. Strong knowledge of cleaning techniques, products, and equipment.

3. Ability to operate cleaning machinery and equipment safely.

4. Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks at once.

5. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with staff and guests.

6. A high school diploma or equivalent is required; a degree in hotel management or a related field will be preferred but not required.

7. Physical ability to perform tasks such as walking, bending, lifting, and repetitive movements throughout the workday.

Work Environment

This position is based in a fast-paced, high-volume hotel setting. The Housekeeping Supervisor/Manager will report directly to the General Manager.

Salary

Salary expectation : 4 - 4.8 LPA
