Job Description
- Carry out Naval architectural design and calculations such as hull form development, intact & damaged stability, resistance & propulsion, ship strength, seakeeping, manoeuvring, freeboard, gross tonnage etc. , using software and also manually where applicable. Knowledge on appendages of Ship.
- Prepare technical specifications in respect of model tests and evaluate vendor offers, leading to selection & finalization of specifications ensuring 100% compliance to the customer, class and statutory requirements.
- Knowledge of Classification Society rules (LR, IRS, ABS etc. ).
- Conduct sea trials of ships such as inclining experiment, speed trials, manoeuvring trials etc. .
- Candidate shall be from a Ship Design/ Shipbuilding/ related industry with above experience. Experience of working on Defence projects is preferable.
