Manager - Business Analytics

We are seeking a skilled Data Analyst/Business Intelligence Specialist with a strong background in Power BI, and Advanced Excel. The ideal candidate will have experience working in the EPC industry and possess excellent communication and presentation skills. While knowledge of Python, SQL and machine learning is a plus, it is not mandatory. The candidate will play a crucial role in transforming raw data into meaningful insights that drive decision-making across various projects and departments.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Data Management and Analysis:

   • Collect, process, and analyze large datasets from various sources to support EPC project management and decision-making.
   • Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries and databases to ensure data accuracy and availability for reporting and analysis.
   • Utilize Advanced Excel techniques to perform data analysis, including pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, macros, and complex formulae, to generate insights and reports.

2. Business Intelligence Reporting:

   • Design, develop, and maintain Power BI dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights for stakeholders across different levels of the organization.
   • Ensure that BI solutions are scalable, user-friendly, and aligned with the company s goals and objectives.
   • Collaborate with various departments to understand their reporting needs and provide customized BI solutions that meet their requirements.

3. Presentation and Communication:

   • Present data findings and insights to senior management and other stakeholders clearly and concisely, using visual aids and storytelling techniques.
   • Prepare and deliver presentations that effectively communicate complex data analyses to non-technical audiences, ensuring that key messages are understood and actionable.

4. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

   • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to understand project data requirements and provide data-driven solutions.
   • Collaborate with IT and software development teams to ensure that data systems and tools are aligned with business needs and objectives.
   • Provide training and support to team members on the use of BI tools and Excel to enhance their data capabilities.

5. Continuous Improvement:

   • Identify opportunities to improve data processes, reporting accuracy, and efficiency within the organization.
   • Stay up-to-date with the latest trends and technologies in data analysis, BI, and the EPC industry to continually enhance skills and knowledge.
   • Propose and implement innovative solutions that leverage data to drive business performance and project success.

6. Optional Skills:

   • Utilize Python for data analysis, automation, and integration with other data tools, enhancing the efficiency of data workflows.
   • Apply basic machine learning techniques to uncover patterns and trends in project data that can inform decision-making.

Qualifications:

• Educational Background: Bachelor s degree in Engineering (e.g., Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, or related field) from a recognized institution.
• Experience: Minimum of 6 to 10 years of experience in data analysis, business intelligence, or a related role within the EPC industry.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in SQL for data querying, database management, and optimization.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulae, pivot tables, and macros.
  • Experience with Power BI or similar BI tools for dashboard and report development.
• Communication Skills:
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Proven experience in creating and delivering impactful presentations to senior management.
• Preferred Skills:
  • Knowledge of Python for data analysis and automation is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with machine learning concepts and their application in data analysis is a plus.
  • Experience in Audit or Operational Excellence Initiatives preferable
