Job Description
Were seeking a future team member for the role of Application Support Engineer to join our team. The Application Support Engineer is responsiblefor providing the day-to-day support and maintenance of critical businessapplications. This role requires strong technical expertise, excellentcommunication and problem-solving skills. The successful candidate will workclosely with call center, development teams, and vendors to ensure theavailability, stability, and performance of critical applications.
KeyResponsibilities:
In-DepthIssue Investigation: Analyze logs, database queries, API calls, and systemperformance to diagnose problems.
BugIdentification Workarounds: Identify defects in applications and suggestmore appropriate workarounds.
Data FixesConfiguration Changes: Implement minor data corrections and systemconfiguration updates.
IntegrationAPI Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve integration issues betweenvarious applications.
Coordinationwith L3 Vendors: Escalate complex issues to L3 team or external vendorswith comprehensive documentation.
ProactiveMonitoring Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Identify patterns in recurringincidents and suggest improvements.
ReleasePatch Deployment Support: Assist in testing and deployment of patches andminor upgrades.
MonitoringAlerts: Monitor application dashboards, detect failures, and escalatecritical alerts.
To be successful inthis role, were seeking the following:
Bachelordegree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
4 + yearsof experience in application support or a related IT role.
Strongunderstanding of ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
Experiencewith scripting languages (e.g., Python, PowerShell), SQL tools andtroubleshooting tools.
Stronganalytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellentcommunication and interpersonal skills.
Ability towork independently and as part of a team
