Job Description
Whatyou will work on:
Design, automate and manage ahighly available and scalable cloud deployment that allows development teams todeploy and run their services.
Automate operational tasks andprocesses using tools like Cloud Shell, Cloud SDK, or Cloud APIs. This includescreating scripts, templates, or workflows to automate deployment, scaling,monitoring, and maintenance activities.
Design scalable, reliable, andcost-effective cloud infrastructure.
Define architecture patterns,including virtual networks, subnets, security groups, and resource groups.
Set up and configure virtual machines,storage, databases, and other cloud resources.
Automate infrastructure provisioning usingTerraform.
Collaborating with engineering and architectureteams to evaluate and identify optimal cloud solutions, also leveragingscalability, high-performance and security and identify optimizationstrategies, help develop self-healing capabilities
Implement security best practices, includingnetwork security groups, firewalls, and encryption.
Plan and implement HA/DR strategies; Also,setup automated backups and data retention policies.
Developing and maintainingcloud solutions in accordance with best practices.
Ensuring efficient functioningof data storage and processing functions in accordance with company securitypolicies and best practices in cloud security.
Identifying, analysing, andresolving infrastructure vulnerabilities and application deployment issues.
Regularly reviewing existingsystems and making recommendations for improvements.
Investigate and resolveinfrastructure-related incidents, develop solution associated to self-heal andsupport teams to address issues promptly.
Lead a team of cloud engineers, providingguidance and mentorship.
Strong leadership skills to guide a team ofcloud engineers.
Foster a collaborative and innovative workenvironment.
Evaluate and select third-party tools andservices.
Manage relationships with cloud serviceproviders.
Maintain documentation for infrastructure,processes, and procedures.
Effective communication and collaboration withcross-functional teams.
Requirements
Requirements
Proven work experience indesigning, deploying and operating mid to large scale public cloud environmentswith 10+ years of experience. Azure experience is preferred.
Strong scripting and automationskills (Python, Bash, Terraform).
Proven work experience inDocker/Kubernetes (image building, k8s schedule)
Experience in package, configand deployment management via Helm, Kustomize or ArgoCD.
Proven work experience inprovisioning Infrastructure as Code (IaC) using Terraform Enterprise orcommunity edition.
Proven work experience inwriting custom terraform providers/plug-ins with Sentinel Policy as Code
Proven working experience inimplementing Azure security features, including Identity and Access Management(IAM), Firewall Rules, and encryption.
Strong knowledge in Github orAzure DevOps
Familiarity with networkingconcepts and protocols (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
Experience in security bestpractices and techniques for securing self-hosted environments.
Solid understanding of cloudinfrastructure components such as compute, storage, and networking.
Extensive knowledge andhands-on experience in OpenTelemetry based implementations such as New Relic,Datadog, Grafana and Prometheus micro libraries.
Exposure to Cloud Monitoringand logging.
Experience in developing astrong observability capabilities
Experience in optimizing cloudcomputing costs
