Role & responsibilities

1. Financial Transactions Management:
• Process retail sales and purchase transactions, ensuring accuracy and timely recording in the financial system.
• Reconcile cash, credit card payments, and bank deposits for all retail transactions.
• Ensure all accounts are accurately updated and any discrepancies are resolved promptly.
2. Sales Data Analysis:
• Prepare and analyse daily, weekly, and monthly sales reports, identifying trends and variances.
• Collaborate with the retail operations team to provide insights on sales performance and profitability.
3. Account Reconciliation:
• Reconcile general ledger accounts related to retail operations (e.g., inventory, sales, returns, expenses).
• Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and retail business standards.
4. Inventory Accounting:
• Monitor and report on inventory levels, ensuring accurate cost of goods sold (COGS) calculations.
• Work closely with the inventory management team to verify stock counts and resolve discrepancies.
5. Financial Reporting:
• Assist in the preparation of monthly and quarterly financial reports for the retail division.
• Provide supporting documentation for internal and external audits as required.
6. Vendor and Supplier Management:
• Coordinate with vendors and suppliers to process invoices and ensure timely payments.
• Maintain records of retail vendor agreements, pricing, and payment terms.
7. GST Reconciliation for Retail Business.

Preferred candidate profile:

Worked in accounts Department for retail business (Stores), having good experience to manage store/retail accounting.
