PGT Political Science Teacher

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated PGT Political Science Teacher with expertise in the CBSE curriculum. The candidate will be responsible for teaching Political Science to senior secondary students (Classes XI and XII), ensuring academic excellence, and fostering critical thinking about governance, politics, and current affairs.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and deliver well-structured lessons in alignment with the CBSE syllabus for Political Science.
• Simplify complex topics such as political theory, democracy, international relations, and governance for student comprehension.
• Prepare students for CBSE Board examinations through effective teaching strategies, notes, and revision plans.
• Develop comprehensive lesson plans, teaching aids, and assessment materials based on CBSE guidelines.
• Regularly assess students through assignments, projects, and tests to track their progress.
• Conduct periodic mock tests and provide constructive feedback to improve student performance.
• Encourage debates, discussions, and critical analysis of political systems and current events.
• Mentor and guide students in preparing for competitive exams like CUET, UPSC (foundation level), and other entrance tests.
• Identify and address individual learning needs, ensuring inclusive education for all students.
• Create a positive and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning.
• Maintain a balance between authority and approachability to foster student confidence.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to enhance interdisciplinary learning opportunities.
• Attend workshops, CBSE orientation programs, and training sessions to stay updated with curriculum changes and teaching methodologies.
• Actively participate in school events, parent-teacher meetings, and academic committees.
• Maintain accurate records of attendance, grades, and academic progress for each student.
• Prepare and submit lesson plans, exam papers, and academic reports as per school requirements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Educational Qualifications
• Masters degree in Political Science or a related discipline (mandatory).
• B.Ed. (Bachelor of Education) or equivalent teaching qualification (mandatory).
• Experience
• 2+ years of experience teaching Political Science at the senior secondary level, preferably in a CBSE-affiliated school.
