Job Title : Associate Director
Function : Environment, Social and Governance (ESG)
Location : Mumbai/Gurgaon/Bangalore (Work From Office)

The focus of the KPMG ESG practice is to assist enterprises in better understanding the complex and evolving policy, regulatory, and business environment risks and opportunities relating to ESG, corporate social responsibility (CSR), climate change and sustainability and to help them capitalize on the resultant commercial opportunities. The position being offered is for Sustainability Finance advisory services.

In general, our practice offers end to end sustainability solutions for a diverse variety of clientele (Private Corporations, Government, PSUs, SMEs, Multilaterals and others).
Associate Director will responsible for
o lead and be responsible for independent execution of projects on sustainable finance.
o Be responsible for managing the engagement team and overall execution of work related to any of the service offerings mentioned above. This may include on-site work/ assessments, conducting secondary research on the select subject matter, making reports and other related tasks as advised by the engagement leader
o will play the role of team leader on engagements with team members reporting to them for the project independently. Associate Director will be the SPOC for the client in day-to-day management of the engagement and will interact with the client representatives for the ongoing requirements of the project
o will proactively support sales and business development. These would include identifying and pursuing business opportunities, and closing them as engagements
o will consistently deliver quality client services and take charge of the project area assigned to him/her
o will monitor progress, manage risk and verify key stakeholders are kept informed about progress and expected outcomes
o will demonstrate in-depth technical capabilities and professional knowledge. Demonstrate ability to assimilate to new knowledge
o will possess good business acumen. Remain current on new developments in advisory services capabilities and industry knowledge
The job would require travel to client locations within India and abroad
>> THE INDIVIDUAL
Possess strong domain knowledge, understanding of business processes and possible risks with respect to Reporting, assurance, social-CSR, Sustainability and climate change.
Have strong understanding of reporting standards such as BRSR, GRI, TCFD, SASB, etc.
Knowledge about finance landscape in India
Knowledge about ESG laws and other related regulations and its application
Strong analytical and problem solving skills. Possess strong data analytics skills and knowledge of advanced data analytical tools will be an advantage
Strong written and verbal communication skills (presentation skills) in English
Ability to work well in teams
Understanding of IT systems, Knowledge of MS office (MS Excel, PowerPoint, Word etc)
Have the ability to work under pressure - stringent deadlines and tough client conditions which may demand extended working hours
Willingness to travel within India or abroad for continuous long periods of time
Demonstrate integrity, values, principles, and work ethic and lead by example
>> Qualification
Graduation and Post-Graduation in a field related to Social, Climate change , Sustainability or Management with 10-13 years of experience in ESG
Any ESG related certifications/accreditations would be an added advantage
