KPIT - BSP Engineer - QNX/Linux (5-12 yrs)

Job Description :

We are looking for an experienced BSP Engineer with expertise in Android, QNX, or Linux.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for board support package (BSP) development, system-level programming, and hardware-software integration.

The role involves working with low-level firmware, device drivers, and optimizing system performance across embedded platforms.

Roles and Responsibilities :

- Develop, customize, and optimize BSPs for Android, QNX, or Linux operating systems.

- Work on system boot, kernel programming, and device driver development.

- Integrate and debug hardware peripherals, including storage, network, and multimedia components.

- Optimize system performance, power management, and resource utilization.

- Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand SOC architecture and optimize system performance.

- Conduct system profiling and debugging using tools like JTAG, GDB, and performance monitoring utilities.

- Ensure compliance with security, stability, and reliability standards in embedded systems.

- Work closely with cross-functional teams, including software, hardware, and QA teams, for seamless product integration.

Skills and Qualifications Required :

- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years of experience in BSP development with Android, QNX, or Linux.

- Strong proficiency in C/C++ and system programming.

- Experience in Linux kernel development, bootloaders, and device driver programming.

- Hands-on experience with hardware debugging tools and techniques.

- Good understanding of system architecture, SOC integration, and peripheral interfaces (PCIe, USB, I2C, SPI, etc.

- Experience with real-time operating systems (RTOS) and embedded system development.

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to debug performance bottlenecks
