Location - Pune (Chakan)

Purpose of the Position:

• Analyze the issues/defects identified during assembly processes, defects identified at various check points ( Trim , Chassis , Finish) optic issues & at DKA audit related to assembly process,
• Pre-Analysis of Product quality issues not qualifying as per specifications ( i.e. Fugen plan, CAD etc.).
• Identifying the root causes through Problem solving tools (8D,Ishikawa ,Pareto, SPC etc.)
• Analysis of geometry using tools such as CATIA, HYPERKVS ,CMM etc.
• Resolve the issues by providing interim & permanent solution along with pilot hall by coordinating with concerned agencies (i.e. Supplier Quality, Planning, Pilot Hall, Measurement room, GQM, Body shop, Paint shop etc.).
• Developing in-house templates/Fixtures for Improvement of process & product in assembly shop.

Authority:

• Decision of Rework Online & Offline in series production.
• Doing necessary changes/ modifications in process, equipment, part parameters as per deviation or requirement
• Holding or quarantine not ok parts.
• To take trials of corrected or modified parts online & offline in series production.
• To hold vehicle in case of required for analysis.

Skills Required:

• Part analysis (Drawing , Measurement & manufacturing processes knowledge)
• Problem solving tools ( 7QC tools, 8D etc.)
• Process flow & activities ( PDM ,SWS Knowledge )
• Analytical skills with help of softwares (Hyper KVS , CATIA , MIS)

Key Responsibilities &Tasks:

1.Control smooth functioning of assembly processes through analyzing the fitment issues/defects & Quality issue at check points & audits:

1.1 Analysis of issues/defects identified during Assembly processes, Check points & Audit.

1.2 Providing the interim solutions till permanent solution in co-ordination with pilot hall to control defect outflow.

1.3 Co-coordinating with internal suppliers (like Assembly Shop, GQK , Paint shop ,Body shop, Logistics) & internal customers (like operation Quality, DKA etc.) along with supporting departments (like GQM, GQK, Body shop ,Pilot hall Measurement lab etc.)

1.4 Identifying the root causes by studying Process as per PDM, Parts by CMM /GOM reports ,Cubing analysis & car body geometry through CMM / inline measurement report etc.

1.5 Defining permanent actions on the root causes along with concerned department.

1.6 Implementing the corrective permanent actions in series production by confirming fitment trails & studying related measurement/technical reports.

1.7 Attend Cubing audit- feedback of assembly related points to concerned line, analysis & actions.

2.DKA Audits:

2.1 DKA car audit- feedback of assembly related points to concerned line, analysis & actions.

2.2 Ensuring process adherence to avoid repetitive occurrences in audit

2.3 Communication and escalation of problems, and defects (process, production, manpower, maintenance, defects) to Production partners and/or to other agencies

3.Shop floor management:

3.1. Co-ordination with respective line GL initiating containment actions to control defects from line

3.2 Maintain records related to analysis

3.3 Ensure the communication cascade for the information from top to bottom & the bottom to top within the department.

3.4 Support to complete QMS related documents.

4.Part fitment trial :-

4.1 Fitment trial of new / Improved parts as per suggestion / requirement in series production

5.Relationship Management:

5.1 Develop and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure optimal performance

5.2 Work collaboratively, negotiate and engage with key stakeholders to facilitate delivery and compliance with the manufacturing strategy

5.3 Communicate with stakeholders the impact of market change and potential effects on manufacturing design and development. Recommend solutions without compromising quality or service while optimizing cost

6. New Projects Related Activities for Trim , Chassis , Finish:

6.1 Participate in Problem solving in pre-series cars related to Trim, Chassis , Finish along with pilot hall & supplier quality related to optic issues.

6.2 Design tools(Ensure desired tools), templates or process to identify the non-conformities through defect analysis and Ensure the usage on line with trainings to operators.

6.3 Decisions for quality, related to equipments parameters, calibration in co-ordination with planning & maintenance department.

7. Efficiency:

7.1 Active support to assembly shop production activities and development of Teamwork to improve quality approach

7.2 Continual improvement by implementing KAIZENs, Innovation, Pokayoke , modifications & corrections in processes & Equipments.
