Your Job

We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented CAD Engineer who is specialized in CAD tools (preferably UG-NX). As a key member of our engineering team, you would be responsible for 2D detailing, 3D modification, 3D creation, BOM and assembly setup sheets creation for Automation tooling that meet performance requirements as per industry and customer specification for DSS (Datacom & Specialty Solutions) products.

Our Team

This team provides mold, die, automation, gigs and fixture system design and mold-flow-simulation and other engineering related services to Datacom and Specialty Solutions Division stakeholders who are located at Molex sites across the globe. The position will be part of this engineering team at Molex India Business Services.

What You Will Do

. Support design modifications, 2D/3D creations, Engineering BOM, assembly setup and release of automation tooling and fixture systems as per customer requirement.

Works with manufacturing engineering and Automation tool designers to execute the projects utilizing the latest 3D CAD modeling techniques, PLM software (Teamcenter/ECTR) and other DFM tools following Molex internal process.

Works with manufacturing engineering to support DFM and manufacturing processes setup, supports quality function, supports sourcing team in firming up supply chain solutions

Provides technical support to customers, suppliers, and internal project teams

Work globally with teams to bring products to production.

Understands and applies Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing (GD&T) to engineering drawings

Strong English communication skills, both verbal and written, that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely.

Understand, support and contribute to Molex culture of Principle Based Management

Perform other related duties as assigned by supervisor

Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)

Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical

1-2 years working experience of Automation/tooling/fixture systems

Good knowledge and understanding of automation tooling system involving design of conveyer pallets and fixtures, locating and clamping devices, guides and aligners based on project needs

Good understanding of manufacturing process such as molding, sheet metal tooling, fabrication of components and assembly processes

Proficient in using solid modeling software (Siemens NX) to generate 3D models & 2D drafting

Strong English verbal and written communication skills that demonstrate the ability to express complex technical concepts clearly and concisely

Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Power Point

Good interpersonal skills to work effectively with others and in a team

Travel will be required as necessary

What Will Put You Ahead

Masters/Additional qualification in Design/Manufacturing engineering

1-2 years in Design Engineering function engaged in design, modification and sustenance of automation tooling and fixture systems
