Operations Lead

• Perform advanced Kafka cluster management, including setup, configuration, monitoring, and maintenance.
  
• Support application integration with Kafka, ensuring seamless data flow between services.
  
• Provide expert-level support for Kafka-related incidents, troubleshooting and resolving complex issues in production environments.
  
• Offer technical support for production systems, particularly microservices and event-driven architectures, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal performance.
  
• Utilize strong problem-solving skills to diagnose and resolve Kafka and microservices-related issues efficiently.
  
• Work closely with developers, DevOps, and other stakeholders to ensure smooth Kafka operations and integration.
  
• Proactively suggest improvements in system performance, reliability, and scalability.

Requirements

• Minimum of 10-14 years of experience in Kafka administration and support, with proven expertise in Confluent Kafka.
  
• Extensive experience in production support, especially with microservices and event-driven systems.
  
• Strong proficiency in Kafka, including topics, partitions, brokers, consumers, producers, and Kafka Streams. Familiarity with related tools like Zookeeper, Schema Registry, and Kafka Connect.
  
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot Kafka-related issues in complex environments, including performance tuning and root cause analysis.
  
• Proficiency in at least one programming language (e.g., Java, Python) used for Kafka application development
  
• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and infrastructure as code (Terraform, Ansible) is a plus.
  
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Confluent Certified Developer/Administrator or equivalent certification.
  
• Experience with deploying Kafka in cloud environments like AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  
• Knowledge of security best practices in Kafka, including SSL/TLS, authentication, and authorization
