Senior QA Engineer

Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Senior QA Engineer with expertise in both manual and automation testing to join our growing team. As a QA Engineer, you will ensure the quality and reliability of our software solutions by designing, executing, and maintaining robust testing strategies. You will work collaboratively with cross-functional teams to identify and resolve issues while driving improvements in our QA processes. Key Responsibilities 1. Manual Testing:

• Create and execute detailed test cases, test plans, and test scripts to validate software functionality and performance.
• Conduct functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
• Document and track bugs, working with the development team to resolve issues efficiently.
• Ensure full test coverage of requirements across different platforms and devices.

• Develop and maintain test automation frameworks and scripts using tools like Selenium, TestNG, Cypress, or similar.
• Automate functional, regression, and performance test scenarios to enhance testing efficiency.
• Conduct API testing using tools such as Postman, RestAssured, or similar frameworks.

• Perform performance testing using tools like JMeter or LoadRunner to identify bottlenecks and optimize system performance.
• Collaborate with relevant teams to implement basic security testing practices.

• Work closely with product managers, developers, and stakeholders to ensure testable deliverables and clear requirements.
• Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior QA team members.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies such as sprint planning, daily stand-ups, and retrospectives.

• Maintain comprehensive test documentation, including test cases, scripts, and defect reports.
• Prepare detailed test execution reports and quality metrics for stakeholders.

• Education: Bachelor s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field.
• Experience: 6+ years of professional experience in software quality assurance, including manual and automation testing.
• Technical Skills:
  • Proficiency in automation tools such as Selenium, TestNG, Appium, Cypress, or similar.
  • Hands-on experience in scripting languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript for test automation.
  • Expertise in test management tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Experience with version control systems like Git.
  • Strong knowledge of API testing tools (e.g., Postman, RestAssured).
  • Testing Knowledge:
    • Solid understanding of QA methodologies, testing types, and best practices.
    • Experience in testing web, mobile, and API-based applications.
    • Familiarity with performance and load testing tools (e.g., JMeter, LoadRunner).
  • Soft Skills:
    • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Strong communication and collaboration skills to work in a cross-functional environment.
  • Experience with performance and security testing principles will be plus.
  • ISTQB or equivalent QA certifications will be plus
