Job Description

We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Sales Engineer to join our team, specializing in industrial machinery for diverse markets such as automotive, steel, auto components, aerospace, defense, and general manufacturing. The ideal candidate will combine technical expertise with exceptional sales skills to drive business growth and build long-term customer relationships.


Role & responsibilities


Sales and Business Development:

    • Identify and target potential customers in sectors like automotive, steel, aerospace, and defense.
    • Develop and implement strategic sales plans to achieve and exceed sales targets.
    • Conduct market research to identify new business opportunities and stay updated on industry trends.

Customer Engagement:

    • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, understanding their technical and operational needs.
    • Provide technical consultations and recommend machinery solutions tailored to customer requirements.
    • Address customer queries and concerns promptly to ensure high satisfaction levels.

Technical Expertise:

    • Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of industrial machinery and its applications in various industries.
    • Collaborate with the engineering team to ensure the feasibility of proposed solutions.
    • Conduct product presentations, demonstrations, and training sessions for customers.

Proposal and Negotiation:

    • Prepare and deliver accurate and competitive quotations and proposals.
    • Negotiate contract terms, pricing, and conditions to close sales effectively.

Collaboration and Reporting:

    • Work closely with internal teams, including engineering, production, and service, to ensure seamless project execution.
    • Provide regular sales forecasts, reports, and market feedback to the management.


Preferred candidate profile


Education:

    • Bachelors degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.

Experience:

    • 3-5 years of experience in industrial machinery sales, with a proven track record of achieving sales targets.
    • Experience in industries like automotive, steel, aerospace, defense, or manufacturing is highly preferred.

Technical Skills:

    • Strong understanding of industrial machinery, automation, and manufacturing processes.
    • Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.

Soft Skills:

    • Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
    • Self-motivated, goal-oriented, and capable of working independently.
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.

Additional Requirements:

    • Willingness to travel extensively for customer meetings and site visits.
    • Proficiency in CRM software and MS Office tools.
    • Familiarity with industry standards and regulations is a plus.
