Purpose of Job:
- Product Management & End to End Delivery: Take business requirements and translate them into technical requirements and make sure the same gets implemented appropriately and in an optimized manner through internal stakeholders and external partners.
Job Responsibilities:
- Own the creative process of generating, developing, and curating new ideas.
- Determine which ideas should be promoted into features to push the product strategy forward - namely those that will achieve key objectives for the product line and business.
- Ensure that feedback and requests are seamlessly integrated into the product planning and development processes.
- Articulate the business value to the business/IT teams so they understand the intent behind the new product or product release.
Own the roadmap
- Translate the business requirements into technical requirements by creating flow diagrams, technical or architectural designs, and detailing the same.
- Producing well-written specifications that document design decisions and outline the functional and non-functional requirements.
- Prioritize building what matters most to achieve the strategic goals and initiatives behind the product.
- Responsible for defining the release process and coordinating all of the activities required to bring the product to market2.
- Bridging gaps between different functions within the company and aligning all of the teams involved - specifically marketing, sales, credit, customer support, data science and IT.
- Managing dependencies in and across releases to complete release phases and milestones.
- Work with engineering team or the development team (both internal and external) to come up with time estimates for work to be done, dependencies, and difficulty of work.
- Properly assess whether engineering estimates are correct, review technical specifications, architecture and networking plans.
- Evaluate APIs, map out integration plans or different technology options.
- Support the Training teams to provide training on how to use the product for a successful launch.
- Answer product related tech inquiries.
- Understand, research, and follow technical trends in the industry, assess emerging tech products and partners to measure their potential value, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
Be the SPOC for business and the internal IT team or external tech partner.
Qualifications:
- Education: Engineering graduate or postgraduate.
- Work Experience: 5 years experience in product management role in a technology company.
Strong technical background focused on the more technical aspects of the product.
NBFC or lending sector business knowledge.
Other Requirements:
- Ability to work well with internal, including IT and business team, and external teams, including various tech partners and their engineering team.
- Ability to influence decision making across wide variety of roles and levels in the organization.
- Project management skills.
- Developer experience a plus.
