Kazo is a premium high street western wear brand offering latest fashion for dressed up occasions at an affordable price for the new Indian woman. We are looking for a Retail Planner to join our team. This position will play a key role in managing inventory, sales forecasting, and ensuring that our retail stores are optimally stocked with the right products at the right time.

Job Summary:
The Retail Planner will be responsible for overseeing the planning and forecasting of merchandise for our retail stores. This role includes analyzing sales trends, inventory levels, and customer demand to make informed purchasing decisions. The Retail Planner will collaborate closely with the buying, merchandising, and store teams to ensure smooth product flow and maximize profitability across our retail locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Sales Forecasting & Planning:
   
• Analyse historical sales data, trends, and seasonality to develop accurate sales forecasts for all product categories.
• Collaborate with buying and merchandising teams to plan the product assortment and ensure alignment with the companys strategy and goals.
2. Inventory Management:
   
• Oversee the planning and management of inventory levels across all stores to ensure adequate stock levels while minimizing excess inventory.
• Work closely with the supply chain and logistics teams to optimize stock replenishment and distribution.
• Maintain an optimal balance between in-store stock and demand, avoiding stockouts or overstock situations.
3. Budget & Profitability:
   
• Develop and manage sales, margin, and inventory budgets, ensuring financial targets are met.
• Monitor the performance of key product categories and adjust inventory strategies to maximize profitability and minimize markdowns.
• Conduct regular reviews of sales performance and recommend corrective actions where necessary.
4. Product Lifecycle Management:
   
• Manage the product lifecycle from initial buying to end-of-season, working with cross-functional teams to ensure products are delivered on time.
• Plan and execute product transitions, seasonal markdowns, and promotions to drive sales and optimize inventory turns.
5. Data Analysis & Reporting:
   
• Regularly analyze and report on product performance, sales trends, and stock levels to senior management and key stakeholders.
• Use retail analytics tools and reports to make informed decisions on product ordering, markdown strategies, and inventory levels.
6. Collaboration & Communication:
   
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Buying, Visual Merchandising, and Store Operations, to ensure successful product launches and merchandising strategies.
• Provide clear communication on product availability, inventory projections, and any potential issues that could impact sales.
7. Market & Competitive Insight:
   
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and consumer behaviour to inform planning strategies and optimize the product offering.
• Adapt planning strategies based on changing market conditions and consumer demand.

Key Skills & Qualifications:

• Experience: Minimum of 6+ years of experience in retail planning, merchandising, or inventory management, preferably in the apparel or fashion industry.
• Knowledge: Strong understanding of retail planning processes, inventory management, and sales forecasting.
• Skills: Proficiency in data analysis, strong attention to detail, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to work with complex spreadsheets and software (e.g., Excel, planning software).
• Education: Bachelors degree in Business, Retail Management, Supply Chain, or related field (preferred).
• Other: Excellent communication skills, ability to collaborate with multiple departments, and a proactive, solution-driven mindset.
