Job Description
- SAP System Refresh Execution
- Plan, execute, and validate SAP system refreshes for non-production environments (e.g., DEV, QA, UAT).
- Perform homogeneous and heterogeneous system copies using SAP tools such as SWPM , Database Backup/Restore , or Export/Import methods.
- Manage post-refresh tasks, including BDLS execution , client copy , and configuration updates .
- Pre-Refresh Preparation
- Coordinate with stakeholders to define refresh requirements, schedules, and prerequisites.
- Backup SAP systems, databases, and file systems before initiating refresh activities.
- Document and validate pre-refresh configuration settings for seamless restoration post-refresh.
- Post-Refresh Activities
- Validate system functionality, including RFC connections, batch jobs, and interface configurations.
- Perform system performance testing and troubleshooting post-refresh.
- Update system roles, authorizations, and configurations as per landscape requirements.
- System Administration and Monitoring
- Maintain SAP landscapes, ensuring they are aligned with business requirements.
- Monitor system health, availability, and performance during and after refreshes.
- Implement SAP notes, patches, or updates if required post-refresh.
- Collaboration and Documentation
- Collaborate with functional teams to resolve refresh-related issues.
- Maintain detailed documentation for system refresh processes, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Provide training and guidance to junior team members on system refresh techniques.
- Technical Expertise:
- Strong experience with SAP Basis Administration , including ECC,BW(ABAP+JAVA), CRM7, SCM, Content server and LDW-BW.

- Proficiency in SAP database management (e.g., HANA, Oracle, SQL Server, DB2) and OS-level tasks (e.g., Linux, Windows).
- Soft Skills:
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work with cross-functional teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in SAP Basis administration, with at least 2-3 years focused on system refreshes.
- Experience with cloud-based SAP systems (e.g., AWS )
- Familiarity with SAP Solution Manager and system monitoring tools.
