Workday Project Manager

Job Overview:

We are seeking a seasoned Workday Project Manager to lead and deliver end-to-end Workday implementation and upgrade projects. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Workday HCM or Financials, strong project management skills, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure project success.

Key Responsibilities:

• Project Planning and Execution :
  • Develop comprehensive project plans, including scope, timelines, budgets, and resource allocation.
  • Monitor project progress and adjust plans as necessary to ensure on-time delivery.
• Team Leadership :
  • Lead cross-functional project teams, including Workday consultants, technical teams, and client stakeholders.
  • Facilitate collaboration and ensure alignment with project goals.
• Stakeholder Management :
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients, providing regular updates and managing expectations.
  • Address and resolve project risks, issues, and roadblocks in a timely manner.
• Workday Expertise :
  • Guide clients in Workday best practices and provide strategic advice on configuration and optimization.
  • Oversee and participate in design, testing, and deployment activities.
• Quality Assurance :
  • Ensure all project deliverables meet quality standards and are aligned with client requirements.
  • Conduct post-implementation reviews to identify lessons learned and areas for improvement.
• Budget Management :
  • Manage project budgets, track expenses, and ensure financial accountability.

Qualifications

• Education :
  • Bachelor s degree in information systems, Business Administration, or related field (MBA preferred).
• Experience :
  • 8+ years of project management experience, including 5+ years in Workday implementations.
  • Proven track record of delivering Workday HCM, Financials, or Payroll projects on time and within budget.
• Skills :
  • Strong knowledge of Workday modules, architecture, and integration tools.
  • Proficiency in project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid).
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Certification in Workday and/or PMP, Agile, or equivalent is highly desirable.
