Site HR Manager - African Countries

Role & responsibilities

1. Implementing Attendance Systems

• Choosing Tools: Implementing attendance tracking systems such as biometric devices, card swipes, or software solutions.
• Integration: Ensuring the system integrates with payroll and HR management software.

2. Monitoring Attendance

• Tracking employee attendance daily, including late arrivals, early departures, and absenteeism.
• Ensuring accuracy by verifying time-in and time-out logs.

3. Leave Management

• Recording and managing employee leave (annual, sick, maternity/paternity, etc.).
• Processing leave requests and ensuring alignment with company policies.
• Maintaining up-to-date leave balances for each employee.

4. Employee Relations

• Acting as the first point of contact for employee queries and concerns.
• Addressing workplace conflicts and grievances, ensuring resolution aligns with company policies.
• Fostering a positive work environment and boosting employee morale.

5. Compliance and Policy Enforcement

• Ensuring the site complies with local labor laws and organizational policies.
• Implementing company-wide HR policies at the site level.
• Conducting audits and maintaining HR-related documentation for compliance.

6. Performance Management

• Overseeing the performance appraisal process for the site.
• Providing support to managers in setting goals and giving constructive feedback.

7. Health, Safety, and Well-being

• Promoting workplace safety and adherence to health regulations.
• Leading initiatives to enhance employee well-being, such as wellness programs.
• Responding to site emergencies and supporting risk management efforts.

8. HR Data and Reporting

• Maintaining up-to-date employee records.
• Generating reports on HR metrics like turnover, engagement, and absenteeism.
• Analyzing data to inform decisions on staffing and policy adjustments.
