Job Description:

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Global Compliance and Benefits Manager to oversee global payroll operations, employee benefits, compliance activities, and employment law across multiple regions. This role will involve advising on both basic and complex employment legislation, ensuring compliance with local laws, implementing policies, and supporting employee-related processes across the organization. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of global payroll, HR compliance, benefits management, and employment law, with a focus on accuracy, efficiency, and reporting. This position requires occasional travel to support regional compliance activities.

Key Responsibilities:

Payroll and Benefits Management:

  • Approve employee reimbursements, foreign exchange allowances from Finance, on-call allowances from teams, and process payroll for Sri Lanka.
  • Oversee payroll inputs for all countries (except India), ensuring timely and accurate submission to the GU/Payroll team according to the established schedule.
  • Review and approve payroll-related data for multiple regions, ensuring compliance with local regulations and internal policies.
  • Address and resolve payroll-related queries, audit requests, and provide necessary documentation for audits across all regions (excluding India).
  • Support the Sri Lanka payroll process and coordinate with Finance to ensure accurate allowance and reimbursement processing
  • Coordinate and negotiate with Benefits vendors and ensure timely renewal of benefits plans for all locations, compare and propose most efficient offering

Employee Onboarding and Offboarding:

  • Manage onboarding, offboarding, and transfer formalities in EMEA countries, Singapore, Hong Kong, New Zealand, and China, ensuring compliance with local regulations.
  • Create and maintain employee profiles in the US-ADP system for new hires.
  • Ensure the correct documentation and approvals are in place for employment contracts, offer letters, and other employee-related paperwork, coordinating with the Shared Services team for review and launch.

Data Management and Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly finance reports, including bonus accrual reports, and share them with the finance team.
  • Generate headcount reports requested by business leaders (e.g., Priya Ravi from Product Management) for resource allocation and compliance purposes.
  • Provide ad-hoc and scheduled reporting on Year-To-Date (YTD) and quarterly people metrics for leadership and ELT.
  • Respond to requests from managers and leaders for reporting updates and enhancements in Workday.
  • Work on data importation into Workday, particularly for Learning Management System (LMS) data from HUB.

Compliance and Audit:

  • Advise on both basic and complex employment legislation, ensuring compliance with global employment laws and company policies.
  • Assist in the implementation of policies covering terms and conditions of employment, employment counseling, employee assistance programs, and other related policies.
  • Review and ensure compliance with global employment contracts, offer letters, and benefits documents.
  • Lead and manage audits, including EEO, ACA, and 5500 filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
  • Handle employee verification requests and provide salary certificates as needed for third-party verifications (e.g., loans, visa applications).
  • Address HR-related queries and support the sales team by providing responses for Request for Proposals (RFPs).
  • Respond to payroll and benefits audit queries and support auditors with required documentation across all regions except India.

Qualifications:

Education and Experience:

  • Bachelor s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Proven experience in global payroll, HR compliance, or benefits management in a multinational environment.
  • Strong knowledge of global HR and payroll processes, with an in-depth understanding of employment legislation, local labor laws, and regulations across multiple regions.
  • Experience implementing HR policies related to terms and conditions of employment, employment counseling, employee assistance programs, and other HR-related policies.
  • Previous experience advising on complex employment law matters, providing strategic compliance advice, and managing legal risks in HR operations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Ability to work with multiple international teams, handling cross-border HR processes, payroll, and compliance requirements.
  • Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • High attention to detail and accuracy, especially in reporting and compliance matters.
