Job Description: Area Sales Manager - Tile Adhesive (Gres Bond by Kajaria)

Position Title: Area Sales Manager
Location: Guwahati

Job Purpose:
To drive sales growth and market penetration for tile adhesive product within a designated area. The Area Sales Manager (ASM) will be responsible for developing and executing sales strategies, managing relationships with distributors, dealers, and contractors, and ensuring that the company's products are marketed effectively to achieve sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sales Management:
• Develop and implement sales strategies to meet and exceed sales targets for tile adhesive product in the assigned territory.
• Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads within the assigned area.
• Monitor sales performance and provide regular updates to senior management.
• Manage day-to-day sales operations, including pricing, quotations, and product availability.
• Customer Relationship Management:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers such as contractors, distributors, and retail partners.
• Conduct regular site visits to key accounts to promote products, understand customer needs, and address concerns.
• Organize and attend customer meetings, product demonstrations, and training sessions to ensure effective product knowledge and sales techniques.
• Market Analysis:
• Conduct regular market research to identify trends, customer needs, and competitor activity in the tile adhesive sector.
• Provide feedback to the marketing and product development teams on customer preferences and market demands.
• Product Knowledge & Training:
• Ensure that the sales team and distributors have in-depth knowledge of the product range and application.
• Organize training programs for distributors and customers on the proper use of tile adhesives, as well as product benefits and features.
• Sales Reporting & Forecasting:
• Prepare accurate sales reports, sales forecasts, and pipeline projections.
• Monitor competitor activities and market pricing to adjust sales strategies as needed.
• Administrative Tasks:
• Ensure proper documentation for sales orders, contracts, and invoices.
• Handle any customer complaints or returns, ensuring resolution in line with company policies.

Required Qualifications:

• Education: Bachelor's degree
• Experience:
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in sales, with at least 3 years in the construction or building materials industry.
• Proven experience in selling tile adhesives, construction chemicals, or related products.
• Experience in managing and growing sales in a designated area or region.
• Skills:
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Excellent presentation and interpersonal skills.
• Proficient in MS Office Suite.
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Other Requirements:
• Willingness to travel within the assigned territory as required.
• Knowledge of tile adhesive products and applications is a plus.
