Key Responsibilities:

• Sales & Customer Service:
1. Drive sales and meet revenue targets through effective customer engagement, product presentation, and strategic selling techniques.
2. Develop and implement sales strategies to maximize profitability and achieve financial goals.
3. Provide exceptional customer service by understanding client needs and offering expert knowledge about artworks and artists.
4. Develop cordial relations with new & existing artists.
• Store Operations & Inventory Management:
1. Manage daily gallery operations, including opening and closing procedures, staffing, and maintaining a clean, organized environment.
2. Oversee inventory control, including receiving, pricing, and displaying artworks.
3. Coordinate with artists and suppliers to ensure accurate and timely deliveries.
4. Manage the import and export of artworks, ensuring compliance with international trade laws and regulations.
5. Vendor management, facilities management, approval of day to day running expenses across all locations
• Visual Merchandising & Marketing:
1. Curate and maintain an aesthetically pleasing gallery layout that enhances the customer experience.
2. Collaborate with the marketing team to plan promotional activities, exhibitions, and events.
3. Manage social media presence and digital marketing initiatives to attract new customers.
• Financial Management & Reporting:
1. Monitor sales performance, analyse key metrics, and prepare reports for senior management.
2. Manage budgets, expenses, and inventory costs to maximize profitability.
3. Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial regulations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Art History, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5-8 years of retail management experience, preferably in an art gallery, luxury retail, or a high-end boutique.
• Strong knowledge and passion for art, with the ability to communicate effectively about various artworks and artists.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.

Preferred Skills:

• Experience in event planning and hosting art exhibitions.
• Network within the art community, including artists, collectors, and industry influencers.
• Creative vision with the ability to curate and merchandise art displays effectively.
