Igcse Coordinator

The IGCSE Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the implementation and management of the IGCSE curriculum within the school. This role includes ensuring academic standards are met, supporting teachers and students, coordinating assessments, and fostering an environment conducive to student learning and success.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Curriculum Management:
• Oversee the delivery of the IGCSE curriculum in accordance with Cambridge guidelines.
• Collaborate with teachers to develop and adapt teaching materials and resources.
2. Assessment Coordination:
• Manage the scheduling and administration of IGCSE examinations.
• Ensure compliance with examination regulations and maintain academic integrity.
• Analyze assessment data to track student progress and inform instructional practices.
3. Teacher Support and Development:
• Provide guidance and support to teachers in IGCSE subject areas.
• Organize professional development workshops and training sessions.
4. Student Support:
• Advise students and parents on subject choices and pathways.
• Implement strategies to support students academic and emotional well-being.
5. Communication and Liaison:
• Serve as the primary point of contact between the school and Cambridge Assessment International Education.
• Communicate regularly with staff, students, and parents about IGCSE policies, procedures, and updates.
6. Reporting and Compliance:
• Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievements.
• Prepare reports for school leadership regarding IGCSE performance and initiatives.
7. Promotion of Academic Excellence:
• Foster a culture of high expectations and academic excellence within the school.
• Encourage student engagement and participation in enrichment programs related to IGCSE subjects.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Education or a related field (Masters preferred).
• Previous experience in an IGCSE Coordinator role or similar educational leadership position.
• Strong knowledge of the IGCSE curriculum and examination process.
• Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

• Proficient in using educational technology and data analysis tools.
• Strong leadership and mentoring abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines effectively.
