Primary Science Teacher

As a Primary Science Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and age-appropriate science lessons to students in (4th & 5th Grade). Your role involves creating a stimulating learning environment that encourages curiosity, critical thinking, and hands-on exploration. You will work closely with colleagues, parents, and school leadership to ensure students achieve their full potential in science education.

Key Responsibilities:

• Instructional Planning and Delivery:
• Develop and implement a comprehensive science curriculum aligned with national/state standards.
• Design and deliver interactive and age-appropriate lessons that cater to diverse learning needs.
• Use a variety of teaching methods, including experiments, demonstrations, and multimedia resources, to enhance student understanding.
• Student Assessment and Evaluation:
• Assess and evaluate student performance through tests, quizzes, projects, and observations.
• Provide constructive feedback and support to help students improve their understanding of scientific concepts.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of student progress and achievement.
• Classroom Management:
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes respect, collaboration, and enthusiasm for science.
• Implement effective classroom management strategies to maintain a focused and productive learning atmosphere.
• Address and manage student behavior in a fair and consistent manner.
• Professional Development:
• Stay current with advancements in science education and pedagogy through ongoing professional development and training.
• Participate in school meetings, workshops, and professional learning communities.
• Collaboration and Communication:
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to plan and integrate science instruction across the curriculum.
• Communicate regularly with parents and guardians to discuss student progress and address any concerns.
• Engage in school-wide initiatives and contribute to the development of a supportive learning community.
• Health and Safety:
• Ensure that all science activities and experiments are conducted safely and in compliance with school policies and regulations.
• Educate students on laboratory safety and proper use of scientific equipment.

Qualifications:

• Education:
• Bachelors Degree in Science Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Master’s Degree in Science Education, Elementary Education, or a related field.
• Teaching certification or licensure relevant to [State/Country].
• Experience:
• Previous experience teaching science at the primary level is preferred.
• Experience with diverse classroom settings and differentiated instruction is an asset.
• Cambridge Experience is must.
• Skills and Attributes:
• Strong knowledge of primary science concepts and curriculum.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to inspire and motivate young learners.
• Strong organizational and time-management skills.
