Mining Engineer

Job Title: Mining Engineer Location: Mine Site, Pan-India
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Mining Engineer to supervise and manage technical aspects of Slope
Protection works in a mineral mine. The role involves ensuring the safe execution of slope
stabilization activities, optimizing operational efficiency, and adhering to statutory mining guidelines
and project timelines.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Technical Supervision:
o Oversee slope protection works, including excavation, stabilization, and material
placement, ensuring adherence to design specifications and project requirements.
o Conduct site surveys and geological assessments to evaluate slope conditions and
recommend appropriate measures.
2. Project Management:
o Plan and coordinate day-to-day project activities, ensuring alignment with project
schedules and budgets.
o Monitor resource utilization, including manpower, equipment, and materials, to
optimize productivity and cost efficiency.
3. Safety and Compliance:
o Ensure compliance with safety standards, mining laws, and environmental
regulations during all project activities.
o Conduct regular inspections to identify risks, enforce safety protocols, and mitigate
hazards.
4. Reporting and Documentation:
o Maintain detailed project reports, including progress updates, safety incidents, and
resource usage.
o Assist in preparing technical documentation, such as slope design evaluations, risk
assessments, and compliance reports.
5. Coordination and Liaison:
o Work closely with geotechnical engineers, contractors, and project stakeholders to
achieve project objectives.
o Coordinate with regulatory authorities to ensure timely approvals and compliance
with statutory norms.
6. Quality Assurance:




o Monitor the quality of slope protection materials and ensure proper implementation
of engineering techniques.
o Address any deviations from project specifications and implement corrective
measures.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Mining Engineering.
• 7-10+ years of experience in mining operations, civil works, or slope stabilization projects.
• Familiarity with Indian mining laws, safety regulations, and environmental guidelines.
• Proficiency in mining software and tools for design, planning, and monitoring is preferred.
• Experience working in slope protection or similar geotechnical projects is advantageous.
