Department Quality Assurance

Designation QA Sr. Executive/Asst. Manager/DY Manager Greige

Reporting to QA Manager/ HOD

● Purpose of Job: - To ensure the effective implementation of the Control Plan and Standard Operating
Procedures (SOPs) in Yarn, Preparatory, Weaving, Greige Inspection. Development/Trial sample follow
up, Yarn complaints follow up with supplier. This role is critical in maintaining quality and efficiency in our
processes.

● Key Knowledge: - Expertise in Greige inspection at 4-point system, fabric construction, Loom quality
round, Skilled in detecting and resolving fabric defects, Proficient in developing and implementing
Control Plans and SOPs.

● Education: - B. Tech / B.E. in Textile Engineering/ Diploma

● Experience: - 5-8 years experience in weaving QA

● Employment Type: - Full Time Permanent.

● Functional Area: - Weaving and Greige Inspection

● Key Technical Responsibilities: -

1. To develop, manage, implement, communicate and maintain quality plans at all levels to achieve
better quality products with cost effectiveness & standardized process.
2. To effectively interact with technical, development, production & inspection teams.
3. Assisting inspection teams at different levels for assurance that the fabric made is as per
requirements and quality standard.
4. Responsible for each aspect of quality control in greige fabric manufacturing.
5. Ensure Systematic Arrangement of Grey Fabric in Greige area and Raising Machine Area.
6. Develop effective communication/follow up for on-loom quality control.
7. Ensure weaving of all the products are made as per customer standards.
8. Control plan adherence in Weaving, Yarn Godown & Warping
9. Greige fabric stock reconciliation
10. To keep necessary documents and quality SOP. 11. Lead all quality checker/supervisor as per GPQ

● Key Technical Job Task: -

1. To follow up with Yarn, Preparatory, Weaving, Greige Inspection and Final Inspection for all
quality related issues.
2. Monitor & control on-loom quality control in weaving.
3. Monitor the greige inspection gradation data & take all corrective & preventive actions to avoid
rejection.
4. Monitor & analyse the machines not working & working as desired quality. Highlight to Weaving
head
5. Warp/Weft breakage study, RCA for daily rejections in Greige & final inspection.

Comparative analysis of Greige rejection with Final rejection.
7. Follow up with the dyeing & finishing to overcome the issues related to the Greige quality.
8. Physical verification of random packages for every delivery for its size/weight/damage/stability &
its variations
9. Warping creel audit, every 6 months.
10. Weekly Random creel/Head stock yarn tension check.
11. Ensure the warping beam quality as per standards. Weekly Random beam density, extra ends,
cross/miss ends, oil% check. Highlight the poor quality of yarn/warping for immediate corrective
actions
12. Hield shafts, Hield wire, Reed audit every 3 months.
13. Warping breakage study on critical quality.
14. First piece approval
15. Quality related Daily, Monthly reports generation

● Technical Skills: - Competence in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), Kaizen, 6S
