Environmental Engineer

Job Title: Environment Engineer
Location: Mine Sites, Pan-India

Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Environment Engineer to oversee and ensure compliance
with environmental standards and regulations during Slope Protection works in a
mineral mine. The role involves implementing and monitoring environment
management practices, ensuring project activities align with statutory guidelines, and
promoting sustainable operations on-site.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Environmental Compliance:
o Ensure project activities adhere to local and national environmental laws,
including regulations specific to mineral mining.
o Prepare and submit required environmental reports, including
Environmental Impact Assessments (EIA) and compliance statements.
2. Monitoring and Reporting:
o Conduct regular environmental monitoring (air, water, soil, noise levels,
etc.) to identify any deviations and implement corrective measures.
o Maintain documentation of environmental performance and report to
relevant stakeholders.
3. Sustainable Site Management:
o Supervise waste management practices, including hazardous and non-
hazardous material disposal, and promote recycling initiatives.
o Develop and implement site-specific environmental management plans
(EMPs).
4. Risk Management:
o Identify potential environmental risks associated with slope protection
works and develop mitigation strategies.
o Assist the project team in implementing safe and environmentally
sustainable construction practices.




5. Liaison and Coordination:
o Coordinate with government agencies, auditors, and third-party
consultants for environmental clearances, permits, and inspections.
o Work closely with the site team to ensure seamless integration of
environmental measures into the project schedule.
6. Training and Awareness:
o Conduct environmental awareness training for site personnel to foster a
culture of environmental responsibility.
o Educate teams on the importance of biodiversity, ecological balance, and
environmental conservation.
Key Qualifications:
• Bachelors/Masters degree in Environmental Engineering.
• 5-8+ years of experience in environmental management, preferably in mining,
infrastructure, or construction projects.
• Working knowledge of Indian environmental laws and regulations (MOEF, CPCB,
SPCB guidelines, etc.).
• Experience with environmental monitoring tools and software is a plus.
• Familiarity with slope protection or similar civil works will be advantageous.
