Job Summary :

We are seeking an experienced Database Administrator (DBA) to manage and optimize relational and NoSQL databases. This role involves overseeing database performance, security, backups, and disaster recovery, working with cloud technologies, and ensuring high availability. As part of the team, you will ensure that our database environments are stable, secure, and efficient.

Key Responsibilities :

- Install, configure, and maintain relational databases such as MySQL, PostgreSQL, and SQL Server, as well as NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

- Optimize database queries, indexing, and system performance to ensure high transaction rates and low latency.

- Implement and manage backup strategies, disaster recovery plans, and high-availability solutions such as clustering and replication to minimize downtime.

- Manage user access, data encryption, auditing, and ensure compliance with relevant industry standards and regulations.

- Administer databases in cloud environments such as AWS and Azure, and automate DBA tasks using scripting and DevOps tools.

- Continuously monitor database health, resolve issues proactively, and provide timely support for database-related incidents.

- Work closely with development teams to integrate database solutions with application logic and ensure data consistency across environments.

- Maintain detailed technical documentation for database configuration, troubleshooting, and operational procedures.

Requirements :

- Minimum of 3 years in database administration with hands-on experience in managing relational and NoSQL databases.

- Proficiency in managing MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB.

- Strong expertise in performance tuning, query optimization, and indexing strategies.

- Experience in implementing robust backup strategies, disaster recovery, and high-availability solutions such as clustering and replication.

- Solid understanding of database security practices, including user management, data encryption, and compliance with regulatory standards.

- Hands-on experience with cloud database services such as AWS RDS and Azure SQL Database.

- Automation experience using scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell.

- Familiarity with database monitoring tools and performance tuning software.

- Knowledge of DevOps practices, Kubernetes, Docker, and CI/CD pipelines for database automation and deployment.

Desirable Skills :

- Experience with cloud-based database services such as AWS RDS, Azure SQL Database.

- Familiarity with database migration, replication, and clustering.

- Knowledge of data warehousing and big data solutions.

- Familiarity with tools like Kubernetes and Docker for cloud environments.

Education : A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
