We are looking for a Trainee Software Engineer - Data Engineer to join our team and assist in designing, building, and maintaining scalable data pipelines. The ideal candidate will have exposure to RDBMS, SQL, ETL processes, and NoSQL databases like MongoDB. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure smooth data integration and accessibility for analytics and reporting.

Key Responsibilities :

- Assist in the design and maintenance of data pipelines to extract, transform, and load (ETL) data from various sources.

- Manage relational databases (RDBMS) and optimize SQL queries for efficient reporting and analysis.

- Work with NoSQL databases, including MongoDB, ensuring their scalability and availability.

- Collaborate with data analysts, scientists, and business teams to understand and fulfill data requirements.

- Monitor database performance and optimize queries for better efficiency.

- Implement data quality checks and validation mechanisms across the data pipelines.

- Maintain comprehensive documentation for data processes and database management practices.

- Support the implementation and use of ETL tools for smooth data flow across systems.

- Adhere to data security, governance, and compliance standards in all tasks.

Required Skills and Qualifications :

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

- Trainee-level experience in data engineering, database management, or related roles.

- Proficiency in SQL and working knowledge of relational databases (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL, SQL Server).

- Familiarity with ETL tools (e.g., Pentaho, Talend, Apache Nifi, SSIS).

- Experience or exposure to NoSQL databases, particularly MongoDB.

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize queries.

- Basic understanding of data warehousing concepts and related tools.

- Familiarity with data pipeline management tools like Apache Airflow is a plus.

- Effective communication skills and the ability to collaborate within cross-functional teams.

Preferred Qualifications :

- Exposure to big data technologies (e.g., Hadoop, Spark) is a plus.

- Basic knowledge of containerization (Docker/Kubernetes) in data services.

- Familiarity with Python or Java for automating data-related tasks is an advantage.
