Associate Dean in Research Applications open till: Job Description

• A Ph.D. in Management or a related field from a recognized institution. Additional post-doctoral research or academic leadership training is desirable.

Preferred Qualifications:

International Exposure: Experience working with international academic institution.

Industry Collaboration: A background in fostering industry-academic partnerships or applied research projects.

• A proven record of research excellence with publications in top-tier academic journals in management and related disciplines.

• At least 15-20 years of experience in academic research, with progressively responsible leadership roles (e.g., department chair, research director, or faculty leadership).
• Demonstrate expertise in the academic research process, including grant writing, publishing, and research funding and expanding multi-functional research teams/programs.
• Demonstrated success in securing and managing research funding from external sources.

Key Responsibilities:

• Leadership in Research Strategy and Development:
  1. Develop and implement a comprehensive research strategy that aligns with the institute s vision, mission, and academic goals.
  2. Encourage innovative, interdisciplinary, and high-impact research that addresses both academic and real-world business challenges.
  3. Promote research excellence by supporting faculty members in pursuing research funding, publication opportunities, and collaboration with other academic institutions and industry partners.
  4. Foster a research environment that encourages faculty development, innovation, and scholarly engagement across various domains of management, business, and leadership.
• Administrative and Strategic Oversight:
  1. Oversee the functioning of the research office, including managing research staff, budgets, and resources.
  2. Monitor and report on key performance indicators related to research activities and outcomes.
  3. Collaborate with the senior leadership team to align research initiatives with the overall strategic goals of the institute.
  4. Contribute to the development and review of academic policies related to research, ethics, and publication standards.
• Accreditation and Ranking:
  1. Lead efforts to ensure that the institute s research activities align with accreditation requirements and contribute to the institute s ranking and reputation.
  2. Manage the submission of data for institutional rankings, accreditation bodies, and other external evaluations related to research.
• Skills and Abilities:
  1. Strong leadership, management, and strategic planning skills.
  2. Ability to inspire and motivate faculty and researchers at all stages of their academic careers.
  3. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  4. Experience in organizing academic conferences, workshops, and seminars.
  5. Ability to build collaborative networks with external partners, both academic and industry related.
