Job Description

Our client is a leading life insurance client based at Mumbai

Manager - Modelling(Actuarial)-Life Insurance.

Primary Responsibilities:

- To gain a thorough understanding of the existing models, products and new requirements that are to be modelled

Job Purpose:

- To support the development of actuarial models required for Statutory Reporting and Shareholder Reporting purposes and other requirements while complying with the risk management framework in place and help in the management of the work

Responsibilities:

- To gain a thorough understanding of the existing models, products and new requirements that are to be modelled.

- To work with the user teams to develop models and implement model improvements and model changes in Prophet, DCS and related models.

- To perform unit and functional testing of the developed models, analyzing the effect of modelling changes for reasonability, documenting the changes made ensuring the Modelling Governance principles are adhered to

- To engage with Stakeholders to understand the business problems

- To mentor junior members in the team enhancing their conceptual and technical understanding and promote best practices in Prophet modelling and related tools.

- To help build models for meeting the IFRS reporting purposes and undertake other projects based on the requirements.

Qualifications/Experience:

- Minimum 3 years of relevant actuarial experience & cleared at least 7 actuarial papers.

Functional Competencies:

- Modelling Tools.

- Actuarial Technical Expertise.

- Risk Assessment.

- Regulatory knowledge (including head start with IFRS requirements).
