Manager - Actuarial Pricing (7-10 yrs)

Job Description:

- Collaborate in the design of new General Insurance products along with other stakeholders and play a pivotal role in product development

- Create and review excel, R and EMBLEM models for pricing, portfolio monitoring and profit testing

- Provide main technical inputs and ensure robustness of pricing models and illustrations

- Ability to provide insightful summary of the results of various iteration and sensitivities done during pricing

- Review and sign off on all the pricing related work before review by Actuary and Appointed Actuary

- Review pricing reports, F&U and other necessary documents to facilitate product approval

from IRDA

- Active involvement in finalizing the pricing assumptions and take necessary sign offs

- Ability to work with minimum supervision and problem-solving ability

- Completion of tasks on time and at desired standards including documentation and audit trails

- Accuracy of results and comprehensiveness of the pricing model/reports

- Liaise with other internal and external stakeholders and accomplish other projects that are assigned from time to time

Qualification and Experience Requirement:

- Education: At least 7 Actuarial exams cleared (according to new curriculum)

- Preferable papers as per old curriculum (CT3, CT4, C16, S18)

- Preferable papers as per new curriculum (CS1, CS2, SP1, SP8)

- A degree in Statistics/Mathematics/Actuarial/ Computer Science/Engineering

Experience:

- Minimum prior experience of 7 years working in P&C/Consultancy Actuarial experience with Pricing or Reserving background

- Experience in managing small to medium-sized teams

- Pricing experience will be an added advantage

- Detailed knowledge of actuarial pricing techniques

- Awareness of competitive landscape in the Indian General Insurance market and IRDA regulations would be an added advantage

- Detail orientation, communication and interpersonal skills

- Excellent Microsoft Office skills, particularly in Excel (including VBA) and PowerPoint

- Good programming language skills on Python, SAS, SQL or R

- Excellent data visualization and report-making skills
