Head/Vice President - Research & Development (15-22 yrs)

Role Summary:

- The Head of R&D is a senior strategic leadership position responsible for driving innovation, ensuring high-quality product development, and leading the engineering team in delivering projects within schedule and budget.

- This role involves overseeing the R&D strategy, product development lifecycle, and alignment with global and local market requirements.

- The Head of R&D will work closely with the India COO and global Group R&D leadership to ensure the successful execution of product development initiatives, maintaining organization commitment to innovation and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

R&D Strategy & Roadmap Execution:

- Propose and implement the R&D strategy and roadmap for India and other group markets, aligned with the SBU leadership's vision.

- Ensure the successful development of innovative products that meet business goals and market needs.

Team Leadership & Development:

- Lead and mentor the R&D team, enhancing their managerial and technical capabilities, Team Size 85 people.

- Foster a culture of continuous improvement and innovation within the team, ensuring alignment with company values and ethics.

Product Development & Coordination:

- Collaborate with the marketing department and SBU R&D to define and execute the product roadmap.

- Manage the complete development cycle from concept to industrialization, ensuring development quality through laboratory testing and compliance with local standards.

Budget Management & Resource Allocation:

- Steer the R&D budget, ensuring cost-effective use of resources.

- Make strategic decisions on R&D investments, including the make-or-buy approach for both R&D and manufacturing.

Quality Assurance & Compliance:

- Apply group quality guidelines and ensure all products meet the highest standards of development quality.

- Oversee testing processes in laboratories to ensure products comply with both local and global regulations.

Innovation & Continuous Improvement:

- Drive innovation in product design, introducing new concepts and technologies to enhance existing products and differentiate them in the marketplace.

- Identify opportunities for process optimization to shorten development cycles and increase efficiency.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) & Objectives:

- Define and track KPIs to measure R&D effectiveness and efficiency, ensuring alignment with broader business goals.
